MASTICE 2000
Two-component unsaturated polyester mastic adhesive specifically formulated for bonding, filling, and repairing marble, limestone, travertine, and other porous natural stones. The easy-to-mix formulation offers excellent workability and smooth application, ensuring strong adhesion to the stone while effectively filling pores, cavities, chips, and surface imperfections. Once catalysed, the product cures rapidly to form a durable bond that can be easily sanded, machined, and polished to achieve a seamless finish. Product can be pigmented using our POLYBEL polyester colour pastes to accurately match the colour of the stone. The cured adhesive provides good resistance to water, oils, greases, detergents, and common household solvents. Available in both liquid (flowing) and Solid (knife-grade) formulations for both horizontal and vertical applications.

Method of use :
ALWAYS TEST PRODUCT FIRST following the below indications, before proceeding with complete product application. Ensure that surfaces to be treated are completely dry and clean, free of dirt, dust, grime and surface incrustations.
Manual application:
1. Add 2% Part B paste hardener (dibenzoyl peroxide) to Part A (mixing ratio 100:2 by weight) and mix thoroughly until a smooth, homogeneous paste is obtained. If colouring the adhesive with POLYBEL polyester colour paste, first add the required amount of colour to Part A and mix thoroughly before adding the hardener.
2. Apply the mixed adhesive using a spatula, ensuring even coverage of the surfaces to be bonded or repaired. Press the parts together firmly or fill the cavities as required.
3. Allow the product to cure completely before sanding, machining, or polishing. At 20 °C, the approximate gel time is 6–8 minutes. Curing time may vary depending on ambient temperature, the amount of hardener used, and the volume of the mixed product.
Notes: During colder periods, it is possible to increase part B up to 3%. Adhesive and surface can be polished after 2 hours. Product can be coloured using our specific pigment POLYBEL. (approx. 1% of colour). Do not exceed 2% pigment by weight.
Excessive pigmentation may adversely affect curing, mechanical strength, and adhesive performance. Approximant product workability at 20°C is 3 – 15 minutes. Ideal for rodding granite/marble and other stones. (all types of fiberglass rodding). Maintain product in its original container/packaging. Clean tools using Acetone.
